This 5 metre concertina book was created from an interest in fairy tales and their structural similarity. To my mind fairy tales all follow the same pattern with the good being wronged and doing some hardship before overthrowing the evil and living happily ever after. To emphasise this each tale in this book fills exactly four pages, with shorter tales at the start and longer tales at the end. This means that the shorter tales have a larger type size, to fill the four pages, and the longer tales have a smaller type size. The book also allows small children who are beginning to read, to read the tales at the start and as they grow they can to move onto the tales towards the end. The titles are printed using letterpress and bound with hard board covers.
