This is the book i have made for my degree show, running from 6th - 11th June at Bath Spa University. It's a step on from my book Red Carpet, in this book I have introduced colour and minimal type.
This book features 50 women who graced the red carpet at the Oscars 2008, the 80th anniversary. The same principal of silhouettes has been applied as in Red Carpet. All the glossy magazines love to detail what each woman was wearing. So for his book I have made an average Pantone colour match to the dress each woman was wearing. This colour has been applied to the inside of a french fold with a perforation on the fore edge of the page. Also detailed on the inside of the fold is the name of the woman and the designer of the dress she is wearing. If the viewer is so intrigued they can tear open the page to find out the details but run the risk of tearing into the silhouette.
The book is a B5 format, french folded and a silver foil blocked title.
